How to get close to an animal in SCUM

Come from behind: wild animals look 160 degrees ahead, which leaves 200 degrees they cannot see. Most spot you from 55 m but hear you from 300 m, so a loud approach gives you away first. The wolf hears only 30 m, so against it cover matters more than quiet. A sleeping chicken or rabbit wakes if it sees you inside 150 m. Every animal's own figures are on the SCUM animals page.
